On the evening of October 3rd, a meeting of an informal “Copper Hill United Methodist Church Web, Facebook, and Blog” fact finding committee met at the home of Carolyn D’Annolfo. Pastor Jones and Bob Loomis were also in attendance.
We discussed and tossed ideas around, coming up with possibilities and ideas for better communications within the congregation and with the surrounding communities.
The internet is one of the major ways that people and groups communicate. It is the “wave of the future”. But – it is already here! We will be trying out ideas, looking for more people to be involved, and getting plans made for our Facebook page and our website. Our DS is adament that churches get on board and move forward with websites. We will be able to tell him we are moving forward with his request for action when we hold our Charge Conference in a couple of weeks.
