Pushing Back the Darkness- Walking in the Light Prayers

Posted on January 29, 2021January 29, 2021

Helpful prayers on Scripture’s darkness and light themes

We certainly need to be praying specific prayers for governmental leaders, each other, national issues, the Church, etc. Yet on a higher plane, there is a great spiritual battle being waged by the enemy of our souls. And our intercession plays a role in victories won just as Daniel’s did (Daniel 10:12, 13). JoAnne has been reading Francis Frangipane’s “The Three Battlegrounds.”    “When the church on earth is aggressive in its agreement with the will and Word of God, then the presence of God increases in the spiritual realm, proportionally displacing the influence of hell on earth…But when the church is passive, indifferent or carnal, the powers of hell increase their rule over the affairs of men.”  As seen in George Otis’ “Transformation” video series, when the enemy of our souls dominates, evil manifests itself in crime, division, & immorality. When people seek God and the presence of God manifests, then there are revivals, healings and miracles. This is what the Bible speaks about using the metaphor of Darkness vs. Light!

These Scripture prayers which JoAnne has prepared help us to use the Bible pictures of darkness and light to express some of the conflicts that we see in the world round us today and ask for God’s help.
