The Value of Life

Value Life

Watch the Service

To be alive is a gift from God

Today Pastor Kelvin and JoAnne spoke about how highly valued we are by God. We are his creation in three ways. By creating the first couple, God brought humankind into being. God is active in the creation of each person in the womb too (Ps. 139:13). And God is transforming us through the Holy Spirit. God treasures his workmanship. God also demonstrated how much he cares for us by sending his own Son to give his life for us (1 Peter 1:18,19). Pastor Kelvin spoke about how this understanding of our high value to God gives us a zest for life. It also makes us reject thoughts of suicide and influences us to be pro-life as well.

Online Communion included

Today’s service included online communion. It seemed especially fitting since God sending his Son to die for us is one way he taught us how valuable we are to Him. Pastor Kelvin is happy to provide this opportunity for those who cannot come together in person to be able to remember Jesus in the way he taught us to do. The work of God’s Spirit is not bound by distance. God reads our hearts as we look up to him for spiritual food and encouragement even as we partake of ordinary bread and grape juice.
