Helping others honors Jesus

Giving to Jesus by Helping Others

Posted on May 9, 2022May 9, 2022

Only in heaven will we fully realize how much we owe to the poor for helping us love God better through them.

Watch the service

Copper Hill Church celebrated Mothers Day by giving small gifts to each lady present and recognizing and praying for mother’s. Pastor Kelvin reminded us that we worship God when we selflessly help others. And the unselfish dedication of mothers in caring for their children is often an example for us. Pastor reminded us that when we do things for others, especially for those in need, it is as if we did it for Jesus himself; it is a kind of worship. As the Scripture says,

Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.

Jesus in Matt 25:40

Planned events

Copper Hill Church has two significant events on its immediate calendar. Next Sunday, May 15, is Confirmation Sunday. Two confirmands, Ian Griffin and Madison Schantz are being confirmed and joining our church officially. It will be a joy to celebrate with them.

Then on June 12, we plan to have a liturgy of dedication for the house next door which the church recently purchased. It is not needed as a parsonage while the current pastor continues to serve, but may well be needed for that purpose in the future. The congregation plans to gather on the house lawn after church for this occasion.
